Great resource for the classroom

Letters of Note is a website that offers a collection of letters and articles that purport to be primary documents about issues in history. The blog itself states that it is a collection of “fascinating correspondence.”

In fact, there are some great examples of correspondence to be found, from the “letter to my old master”  from an emancipated slave to his former master who had requested that he return to work, to a scan of the original casting list for Star Trek, The Next Generation. This is a great blog for examples of writing and snapshots in time.
